Planning permission has been granted for Great North Leisure Park – an 11-acre brownfield site in Finchley that will become a new neighbourhood focusing on community and sustainability.
The application was initially refused, but the Mayor of London overturned the decision.
An incredibly huge amount of team collaboration and hard work has gone into this scheme to date, and we’re very happy to see it move forward.
Our scope covered both structural and civil engineering – from materials estimation and structural options (concrete, steel, glulam) to levels design, cut and fill earthworks, SuDS Design, a sewer diversion, and a full Flood Risk Assessment.
This is a great outcome for Arada London, JTP Architects and the rest of the project team, and for Finchley.
