Since day one of his career, Giovanni has been involved in challenging and inspiring projects from deep underground structures to high-rise buildings and large mixed-use developments. Over time it became clear that what all of these different types of buildings have in common is the elegance and simplicity of their structural forms. He believes that offering simple solutions to complex problems is what a good engineer should always endeavour to do.

Before joining SD in 2021, Giovanni was an Associate Team Leader at AKTII and so incredibly familiar with the processes involved in large scale developments and of managing multiple stakeholder requirements. He prefers a more hands on approach to his projects and is using his previous experience to implement improved quality and efficiency processes for our larger developments.

Giovanni is a devoted husband and father of two kids. Having children has been a paradigm shift in his life which has forced him to reconsider his priorities. Time is a valuable asset and something Giovanni considers a precious gift to his family. Striking a good work-life balance is incredibly important. At SD Giovanni finds himself immersed in the decision-making process on a wide variety of projects while being rewarded with the flexibility needed as a busy parent of two little kids.
