The Civic Trust Awards were established in 1959 to recognise outstanding architecture, planning, and design in the built environment.
Mary Ward Centre has been named as a Civic Trust Award Regional Finalist for 2025. And has been recognised as a Selwyn Goldsmith Award for Universal Design Finalist.
Regional Finalists are schemes which are of significant merit in their region, contributing to the quality and appearance of the built environment, whilst being sustainable, accessible, and providing a positive civic contribution.
The Selwyn Goldsmith Awards celebrate places that are responsible, flexible, welcoming, easy to use and occupy, allowing all to use with dignity and equality. Projects have gone beyond the building regulations as a minimum, using best practice guidance, putting people at the heart of the project, and showing exemplar design.
All Regional Finalists will now be considered by the CTA National Judging Panel for a National Civic Trust Award or Highly Commended.
