The shortlist for the AJ100 Community Impact Award 2024 has been announced… and Mary Ward Centre is a contender!
The Mary Ward Centre in Stratford, previously known as Queensway House, has been fully refurbished and extended with two additional storeys to provide a multi-functioning performing arts theatre, café, flexible teaching areas, and community spaces.
Mary Ward is a century old charity providing adult education services to 5,500 students every year. Throughout the design phase, regular engagement was undertaken with staff, students, and the community within a three-mile radius to ensure stakeholder requirements were met and exceeded where possible.
It was a joy working on this project with such a dedicated client, design, and construction team. Winners will be announced on 21st June at the AJ100 awards ceremony and we’re very much looking forward to it.
