Imagine this: the thrill of adventure, the excitement of exploring a new city, and the joy of bonding with your colleagues outside the confines of the office walls. That’s exactly what we experienced on our first SD Away Day trip abroad to the city of Brussels! We previously had UK based trips including white water rafting, karting, and a trip to Portsmouth to see the i360 tower, but as a thank you for the team’s hard work and dedication through the challenging times of Covid, we thought we would do something a little different this year.
Our team hopped on a Eurostar train and ventured to the heart of Belgium to immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture and stunning architecture of Brussels. From cycling through the city streets to indulging in the local delicacies, our trip was nothing short of spectacular.
We may have overindulged a bit on the mouth-watering moules marinières and frites, but who could resist? And let’s not forget about the endless varieties of Belgian beer that we happily sampled. Of course, we couldn’t pass up the chance to visit the Chocolate Museum and treat ourselves to some of the finest chocolate in the world.
What made this trip truly special was the opportunity to bond with our new team members outside of the office environment. As we explored the city and created unforgettable memories together, we strengthened our connections and solidified our team spirit. Our Culture and team spirit is what helps make us unique. We are already looking forward to planning our next trip!
